Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about applying, signing your lease, paying rent, electricity, repairs and your account.

Applying for a Room

Fill the application form on the Apply page — it works in English and Hindi and takes about 10 minutes on your phone. You do not need an account.

When you submit, you get an Application Reference number like MG-2026-0123. Save it — quote it when you call us. We review every application and contact you within 48 hours.

Open the application form →

No problem. On the form, tick "I'm not sure — please assign me the best available room (Maurya Group will decide)". We will suggest the best available room for your needs when we contact you.

No. A link sent by Maurya Group opens the form with your name, phone and email already filled in. Check them and complete the remaining questions.

If your application needs a cosigner, you can send them an invite from inside the form — they get their own link to fill in their part.

Signing Your Lease

Maurya Group sends you an access code — on WhatsApp, by phone, or in person. Open the Tenant Sign page, enter the code, check your details step by step, and sign right on your phone. It takes about 5–10 minutes, and there is no app to download.

Open Tenant Sign →

Yes. After signing, tap the Print Agreement button to print your lease or save it as a PDF. You can come back any time with your access code to view or print it again.

Type the code exactly as it was sent to you (letters and numbers). If it still does not work, call or WhatsApp us — your lease may not be ready yet, or your code may have been replaced with a new one.

Paying Rent

Pay by UPI (PhonePe / Google Pay / Paytm), bank transfer, or cash at the office. Rent is due on the 1st of each month.

The Pay Rent page shows you exactly where to send the money — Maurya Group's UPI QR code, UPI ID and bank account details for your lease.

Open Pay Rent →

Open the Pay Rent page and enter your lease code. For your security we email you a 6-digit code — enter it to continue.

Then enter the amount and date, add the UPI / UTR reference number if you have it, upload a photo or screenshot of the payment confirmation, and submit.

Your payment shows as pending. The owner confirms it, and then your receipt appears in My Receipts. Until it is confirmed, it stays pending — that is normal. If anything needs checking, we will call you.

Yes. Record each payment the same way. Until the full month is paid, your dashboard shows that month as "Partial".

On the My Receipts page, enter your lease code to see every paid month. Download each month's receipt, or all of them together as a CSV file — ready for HRA or 80GG tax claims.

Receipts carry a receipt number (like PMT-2026-000123) and your Tenant ID (like MG-T-4kZ7Qp2a), so your employer or CA can check them easily.

Open My Receipts →
Electricity

Your dashboard shows each month's meter readings, the units used, and the amount — units multiplied by the per-unit rate in your lease.

If your building has solar, solar units are shown separately in the same table. You can download your full electricity history as a CSV file.

Open My Dashboard →
Repairs & Maintenance

Open the Report an Issue page, describe the problem, and add up to 5 photos. If typing is hard, record a voice note (up to 60 seconds) instead — we listen to it just like a written complaint.

Report an issue →

Open My Requests to see each request and its status — from Submitted to In Progress to Completed. When it is marked Completed, you can confirm whether the fix actually worked.

Open My Requests →
Your Account

Your rent balance and month-by-month payment history, your lease details, the security deposit we hold for you, your electricity table, and your emergency contact. Sign in on the Tenant Dashboard page with your lease code.

Open My Dashboard →

Your own phone number, email and emergency contact — from your profile. For anything else (name, room, rent), call or WhatsApp the office and we will update it for you.

Typically 2 months' rent — the exact amount is written in your lease and shown on your dashboard. It is refunded when you move out, as per your lease terms.

My Referrals provides a code like MAUR-XXXX that records attribution on an application. Reward terms and qualification are under review; signing or tenure alone does not create credit.

Open My Referrals →

Submit your 30-day notice on the Move-Out page. After that, the page shows a countdown and a simple checklist — schedule the move-out inspection, return your keys, and give a forwarding address for your deposit refund.

Safety & Security

To protect your information, the portal signs you out after 5 minutes without activity — useful if your phone is left where others can pick it up. At 4 minutes a warning appears with a "Stay signed in" button; tap it to continue. If you were signed out, just sign in again — nothing is lost.

Forms save a draft on your own phone as you type, so a dropped call or a closed browser does not lose your answers. That message means your unsent draft came back — continue where you left off, or tap "Discard" to start fresh. Aadhaar and PAN numbers are never saved in drafts.
