🔁 Replace Meter
The old meter is kept in history (never deleted). Record its final reading, then enter the exact number physically shown on the replacement meter when it is installed. A used meter may start above 0; that opening reading is a baseline and is not billable to the tenant. The reconciliation engine bills only usage after installation.
Enter 0 only when the display actually shows 0. Used meters commonly start above 0.
🎯 Log Calibration Test
Record a calibration test. Error % is computed from actual vs recorded. A large error (>5%) lowers the meter's health score and flags it for replacement.
✏️ Override a Reading
Corrects a wrong reading without erasing it. The original stays on the ledger; your corrected value + reason + who + when are appended. Reconciliation then uses the corrected value.
